Fourth Grade Science Wiki

We are now working on how to measure mass and volume.
So far, so good... (click for pics)

Check out our Gummy Bear Experiment!
We are learning about Volume, Mass and Density. So we found the length, width and thickness of each of our bears. Then, we used a scale to measure
the mass in grams. The kids were then able to find our volume and density. Once this was complete, we each made a hypothesis of what we thought
would happen to the bear if we left it in 50ml of water for 24 hours. Our next class period we were able to see our results and check to see if our predictions
were correct. The kids were able to remeasure the bears and calculate the differences of each measurement. We had a great discussion about how our
volume, mass and density had changed!!
